This year there was an offer where you paid for 2 days and got 3 days free which have to be used within 7 days of the first visit. I paid £217 each for park to park tickets in April but the one park on one day was cheaper. Given you still have a while to go I would keep and eye open for similar offers in the run up to your holiday.

I looked into that for next year, Grandson only really into thee Marvel Superheroes at mo, but by the time you think of the rides you'd like which are in the other parks etc, I decided on the 14 day one, not much more expensive. And, theres no rushing around to fit everything in on the days you're in there, you can come and go as you please. I found the same with the Disney Tickets as well.

It depends on exactly what you want.
Looking at UndercoverTourist.com, you can get a 3-day Park-to-Park ticket for just over $291 at the moment. That's around £240. You can start to use that any time in the next 12 months and will expire 7 days after first use. It doesn't include Volcano Bay. You can get a 4-day Park-to-Park ticket for $313, which is around £260, if you want an extra day. These are cheaper than a UK 14-day Explorer ticket for next year, which costs around £280. If you also want to visit Volcano Bay then it looks like a 3-day 3-Park Park-to-Park ticket costs about the same as a 14-day 3-Park Explorer ticket. Therefore, in this case, you are best getting the 14-day tickets. If you are not bothered about park-hopping then the 3 or 4 day Base tickets are cheaper. In summary:

Just to add to what Nimbus said.
If you don't want to park hop but you want to visit Volcano Bay you can buy the Universal 3-Day Base Ticket with Volcano Bay Water Theme Park for $311.42 adult, roughly £253.64, $299.64 child, roughly £244.05. Or the Universal 4-Day Base Ticket with Volcano Bay Water Theme Park $321.11 adult, roughly £261.53, $309.63 child, roughly £252.18. You can have the tickets mailed to you or sent as an E-Ticket. The tickets must be used in a 7 day period including the first day of use. Both from undercovertourist
