2021 holiday
just been doing some calculations for 2021 oct based on 2020 prices
the prices have shot up there 6 of us 5 adults and one child looking at emerald island or storey lake and there coming in at £3000-£4000 for a 5 bedroom villa virgin flydrive is £7500 with a dodge carravan and gold insurance just getting disney tickets at £405 each may do a 2 day universal but at £220 may pass 2-Park SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Ticket is not bad at £112 and i wish the exchange rate would go up $1400 is £1147.54 at the moment so looking at the £18000 mark but saying that its still worth it

We were looking at 2020 prices for a guesstimate for 2021 - just WDW.
Both April/Oct (14 nights, mod hotel, flights, wdw tickets, free dining - april only) and for 2a/2c its nearing £8500 . We're going in Feb 2020, cheap virgin direct flights & LBV resort/spa hotel for £2000, then seaworld 3 park tickets for £410 = £2410 (exl food). Im just not sure ill ever be able to afford Disney xx |

i know
i could do it a bit cheaper smaller villa not flying virgin or a none direct flight just do disney and forget the other parks (that wont happen) have most of the meals in the villa just have one car but a lot easier with two may save £2000 of the top of my head but dont want to change the oct-nov time (food and wine festival)

Its tricky isnt it. I flip between "only living once" and "clear our mortgage while we can" - it a nightmare! I think i have to go middle of the road, have a nice holiday but dont stop my mortgage OP plan. WDW tickets for us are £1700 so maybe i can still do Disney, just off site and DIY xx

would be looking elsewhere for holidays to be honest - that would be so NOT worth it for me. Especially Oct/Nov when it is still quite busy, so you can't make the most of it.
For me £18k - Kitchen, bathroom, new patio, new windows ... and a week in Italy. |

You don't say how long you are going for, but if it's for the standard two weeks or less, I can assure you you can still get a stunning luxury villa for less than £3000-£4000!

We go onsite 1 week (last time POFQ) week else where in Orlando week on beach had direct flights BA to Miami and Ford Edge 2 a 1 C August School Holidays
Disney hotel + tickets + Dining plan (free) £2700 Flights and Car £1290 Other accom say £1k I think using 2020 prices as a yard stick is dangerous many thanks can happen I expect the pound to get stronger as the US think that the dollar is overpriced and I think that the pound will get stronger once Brexit is sorted one way or tother. I also expect flights to go up oil I expect to be more expensive although there is a theory that if oil goes up flights cant as the airlines need to fill the planes and they wont with higher costs but as an economy seat averages $23 profit I dont get this. |

yup i know its a risk using 2020 prices for 2021
i hope the pound will be stronger soon but i dont want to underestimate and then struggle on the second week on another topic the twilight checkin for virgin how does it work do you drop off your luggage the night before and get your boarding pass then the next day just go to security ?

just had a look last night and found cheaper ones and also found one on ebay at £850 a week 5 bedrooms pool and pool heating called Citrus Grove villa which is on the tuscan ridge davenport community
i have never had a villa so what do i need to look for i know a gated community is the best for security other than that i am stuck any adivce would be great

It is so so expensive! You can cut back here and there but it seems to be that you can’t avoid Disney being expensive! The tickets are crazy money in my opinion... but it people are still paying it (including me lol) it probs won’t come down 😂
Staying off site does defo bring it down but saying that when we factored in car parking costs in Disney and the fact Disney are offering free dining we found it not to be that different... not helpful I know lol Edit : Formosa gardens, champions gate are great locations for nice villas 😊 |
