VA Miles and Reward Voucher advice

Hi All

Are there any experts on using VA miles and reward vouchers? i have 150k and a reward voucher but cannot currently get any UC reward flight availability on the return leg and looking to see what the next best option is on how to use my airmiles along with reward voucher

There has to reward availability to use the voucher as an upgrade or a companion reward - the only options are to sit it out and pray for reward release, book a lower class now for cash and hope to upgrade later or wait until the next trip to use them.

still 6 months away from when we are looking to go - do virgin usually release more reward seats as time goes on in your experience? they released more outbound the other day which got me excited but still no return which put a downer on it :-)

There doesn't seem much available at the moment for any of the kids holidays its a tricky one they usually do release some nearer flights times for cash tickets that haven't sold, but considering how much debt they are in I expect they are trying to get as many cash bookings as possible, its a shame because there is a great offer on with buying their points at the moment, but it doesn't look like they will be useable any time soon

Don't forget that when Virgin switch over to using the A350-1000 leisure configuration (with the Booth) the number of seats in UC will drop from 31 on the A330-300 to only 16.

Have you looked at flying back from Miami? There seems to be more availability there. Our preferred route is Man to MCO but a prepares for fly LHR to MIA if it means getting a reward flight.
