One afternoon in Miami

Hi all, we have one afternoon in Miami before we fly home. Can anyone recommend somewhere we can go for a few hours to get the flavour of Miami? What’s the parking like?

Bayside Marketplace has parking and choices of places to eat and isn't too far from MIA.

Ocean Drive and South Beach are quintessential Miami but can be busy and awkward to get parked at times.

Ocean drive is great to walk down, we did this in the morning.
We stayed at a hotel and took an uber as we were not sure about parking.

I’m also interested in this, we have a free day in Miami before boarding our cruise. I’m not sure what to do with an 11 and 16 year old.

We have discussed the Thriller Speedboat Tour which leaves from bayside but I also want to be able to say I’ve been to Miami Beach so will probably jump in an Uber to there. I also really like the look of The Big Pink for food.

If you have a free day what about the Miami Seaquarium on Rickenbacker Causeway which is just before Key Biscayne where you have Croydon Park Beach which we prefer to South Beach and below that Bill Baggs state park.

There are frequent boat trips from Bayside around the bay and the amazing homes there
Might be good for an afternoon

While I love South Beach, Bayside, Brickell, and loads of other places in and around Miami, if I only had a few hours and wanted to get a taste of what the "real" Miami was like, I would spend that time in Coconut Grove.
