Universal annual pass question

I am considering upgrading two of our four tickets to annual passes (only me and DD likely to return later again in the year) while we are there in July

Question is as pass holders am I right in thinking we would have access to various lounges around the parks and if so would be able to take in the 2 non pass holders with us ?

I think there’s only 1 lounge in universal studios and as far as I’m aware only passholders are allowed in.

As above, passholders only and it is only one lounge near the front Universal Studios. It really isn't much of a perk. The only reason we ever go in is if they're giving out pins.

The discounts are much more valuable. Unlike Disney they work for the vast majority of purchases including quick service food.

The lounge is very small u also have to pay for drinks and snacks but it is good to get some AC and escape the heat, as Donna says it’s a place to pick up the monthly pins

Do you have a Preferred AP?

I had one a few years ago and was told the food discount wasn't applicable in any huts/outdoor locations.

Just ordered one for July though and it seems to say all food and drink except alcohol.

Do you know if this is a recent change? Or was I just badly misinformed last time? lol

We do have preferred. I am pretty sure it works at the stands. I don't use them very often so not 100% sure. It definitely works at all the indoor quick service locations. Disney's doesn't which really annoys me.

I'm pretty sure we got discount at stalls and outdoor spots when we were there in February, as I recall getting a discount of Butter Beer from one of the outside vendors.

Thanks both. Glad to know 😊

It was 2018 when I last had one, and going to buy a couple of churros I was told discount didn't apply unless it was an indoor venue! 😫😂

I hope so too - was very disappointed to find my Annual
Pass wasn’t eligible for discount in the Emack and Bolios inside Hard Rock 😞
