Here is the Grand Sandwich - used to be their signature dish. Ham, turkey and a Boursin sauce with the most delectable onion straws. Doesn’t seem to be on the menu currently though.

Oh love the clothes. We were looking in December for CR themed clothing and there was nothing.
We would have also bought one of the monorail lampshades that’s in the rooms if they sold them!😂

Nice view by the way. We both love BLT albeit not stayed there.
Yes you have a point. And we liked our meals which is the main thing.

Nev said the lampshade was nice yesterday.

Day 10: Cinderella’s Royal Table

When Nev announced he was joining me after all, I was able to very easily change all my reservations from one person to two people. All except this one because it is booked differently with being prepaid. I may have been able to do something by ringing, but Nev was really not bothered about CRT. So I went alone. This was my second trip to CRT, I first went about five years ago (with Nev) for breakfast.

I did the restaurant online check in and received notification of my table being ready very quickly afterwards. Cinderella was greeting guests at the entrance and most people would stop for a chat and a photo. There was not an official photographer there and as I had nobody with me to take one and I don’t like chatting to characters, I didn’t stop myself.

Very pleased with my table by the window with a view of the carousel.

This is a three course fixed price menu. There were three choices of starter; charcuterie, salad or mussels. The website indicates that there is a soup as well, but I am sure that was not on offer because I would have been interested. I decided to go for the salad and for main I picked the beef tenderloin. I wasn’t expecting to have to pick my dessert just yet, but they want to take all three orders at once so I made a snap decision and went for the coffee pots de crčme.

The salad was ok, but probably could have done with a bit more dressing and it became a bit boring to eat. The main was better, beef nicely cooked and the mash was smooth. And the dessert nicely rounded off the meal.

I think the food was good but not special and now there are no characters in the restaurant, it is more reasonably priced (for Disney). It was nice to see the inside of the castle again and overall I enjoyed the dinner experience.

Love the dress Claudette, lovely bright colours ❤️
I’ve been in the Castle too, albeit years ago
Why have the Characters stopped, surely not Covid 🤷😷

Mmm, that steak and the dessert you had in The Castle looks really nice. The salad I would mark as 3 out of 10 could do better.
