I had an actual slight restriction on my seat for the first time ever at the Empire on Wednesday. Cant complain, as I booked restricted, I just misread by 2 seats.
Im back on Saturday, but Ive plumped for a slightly more expensive seat (20 ish) with a better view. Only issue I had was rushing out of the house without my purse. Thankfully I was able to do everything online such as my train tickets, ordered drinks and programmes to my seat etc. It felt luxurious ha ha. Had the absolute best time, and cant wait to go back tomorrow. OP, did you book?

I do a lot of things on my own and enjoy them. Sometimes I arrange things, or go with a local company that arranges coach trips of all sorts and theyre fun. Ive been to concerts (eg Barry Manilow !), theatre (Phantom, The Mousetrap). At the end of July Im going to the Wimbledon mens final.
It would be lovely to have someone to go with but I dont want to miss out on things I enjoy. |

Done it plenty of times, you're just sitting in the dark anyways so it's not exactly the most social of occasions.

Hope your holiday is going well.
Weve often seen people on their own at the theatre when weve gone so you certainly wouldnt be the only one. I do know theres a theatre lovers group near me who arrange trips to the theatre as a group. If you didnt want to go alone, maybe you could see if theres a similar group in your area. I would go alone though if DH or DD didnt want to join me. |

When I was at Mary Poppins I got chatting to another solo lady during the interval. It turned out that her brother was playing the role of Mr Banks. It's an amazing show, I highly recommend it.

I absolutely would if no one else wanted to go with me. Ive not done theatre or concert but I regularly go to the cinema on my own and have gone to sports events alone as well, although for the latter I usually have my mum and daughter with me, so enjoy it when Im on my own as I can really get into it.

I have booked a show! My first solo experience will be Derren Brown! I have seen him five times but my usual partner for his shows isnt keen, so decided to face my fears and go solo!

Good for you - enjoy!
Ive been to matinees at the theatre by myself. I belong to a theatre club so can get last minute tickets. On my days off I used to try to find someone to go with me but that wasnt always possible so didnt go so - now if something comes up that I want to see I just go for it. Also get rush tickets Used to go to film screenings by myself but that was through work and many many years ago!
