ESTA - The stress of seeing "Authorization Pending"

Have logged in a few times after paying this morning and I see "Application Pending" still on all in the group.

The stress of it!
Wondering what the 'normal' turn around time for status to change?

Ours took a couple of hours.

I don't think there is a normal turn around time. I've never had to wait more than a couple of hours but it can be next day. The system may be under pressure with extra applicants trying to beat the price increase. I know this doesn't help when you are logging in every 2 minutes hoping for an update

I did my family's as a group last week ( 5 of us) and it took 8hrs to change to authorised

Monday night took around an hour for the 2 I did as a group booking. You do get an email advising of status change.

Ours took about 40 minutes on Monday night…I wonder if it’s taking longer because everyone is doing them before they go up tomorrow? 🙂

The last time we went two years ago, I was working early in the morning so came home and had a sleep on the sofa, so I was ready for the drive to the hotel that evening .
My wife woke me up and said we couldn't check in on line and thought it strange , then for some reason I thought - did I renew my Esta , OMG I hadnt, quickly went on line and completed it , we then made our way to the hotel waiting for confirmation.
Think it took about two hours and I had to login to check status - no email.
