Will we get there? Mallorca July 2021. Day 1
After an unsettled nights sleep, I got out of bed at 6 with Edith which was actually 7 local time. We popped down to look at the pool and fishes she had spotted on arrival yesterday and then head back up to find Aaron and Martha ready for breakfast at 8.
I think she may have needed more sleep. The view from our balcony wasn't too shabby. The selection was really good, the usual for a Spanish hotel. Continental breads, cheese, meats ect and then a hot section with a chef cooking fresh eggs and omelettes to order. The girls had fruit and other bits and Aaron and I had a selection of most bits. Back up in the room we changed and head to the pool. It was 9.15am but the sign said the pool didn't open until 10. They did finally take the ropes down at 9.40am and we had 20 minutes play before all the splash park was turned on. Edith absolutely loved the pool area, we had her in her safety suit so were able to watch her from slightly further away than we would have without. She spent a good few hours going down all the small slides and swimming, I joined her for a bit while Martha slept on Aaron and then Aaron got dragged in too. After a while we headed back to the room and got ready to walk into the main area. We are about a 20 minute (beautiful costal walk) from all the restaurants, bars and shops. The walk is beautiful, named the Pine walk because of the Pine trees that line the walkway. Edith started moaning early on about how tired she was but we kept her motivated with the promise of an ice cream. We reached one of our favourite restaurants and grabbed a table. We ordered beer for Aaron, milk for Edith and a Sangria for me. Food wise we let Edith have her ice cream, Aaron had spaghetti bolognese and I had a chicken and tomato salad. We also ordered some bread and alioli. The food was lovely, after having a bit of her ice cream Edith helped Aaron woth the spaghetti and when martha woke from her nap, she had some bread. We carried on walking, popping into shops. I bought a new beach mag and Edith was treated to a new doll using holiday money from Aaron's mom. We bought it before we figured out it cried every time its dummy came out, so that's been fun today! We also had some time paddling on the beach and playing on the various play areas along the front. We stopped for another drink. Aaron found somewhere that had Laguanitas IPA on draught. Martha was into her second nap of the day at this point. She did wake up just before we left for a photo. After that, we went in search of a supermarket to grab some drinks for the room. We just grabbed some cokes, milk and water. On the walk back to hotel Aaron decided to have a paddle. Edith decided to be sassy She did take a good pic of me and Aaron though Back at the hotel, i had a much needed hours rest with Martha while Aaron took Edith for another hours swim. Apparently she was forced to go down the big slide which she wasn't too happy about. After they came back up, we showered and head for dinner at the hotel. Although we do have half board, we will probably only eat here a couple of evenings as we do love trying the local restaurants. Tonight was chosen as we were all flagging a bit from travel day still and weren't really up for the walk again. The food was typical, i think ot was 'chinese / asia night as in addition to the normal past, pizza and grilled meats there were gyoza, prawn crackers and spring ros ect. I stuck to the meats and salad and Aaron had similar. The girls has a bit of salad, fruit, pizza and potato between them. Totally forgot to take photos. After dinner we wondered to the play area and Edith amused herself for half an hour. Martha fell into her evening sleep and we head into the mini disco for 10 minutes. Our idea of hell but Edith was fascinated but the giant Seahorse character on stage! We were back in the room and asleep by 10ish. |

A lovely chilled day. Resort looks nice. I commented in your Instagram about the hotel chain - they’re great for families. My daughter was a mini clown at the mini disco a couple of times at their one in Menorca. The seahorse is called Coco from memory.
Is the hotel and resort quiet? |

Absolutely, if we didn't grasp this opportunity, Martha would be a toddler by the time we travelled. Absolutely love that we have managed to take het as a baby.
Coco. Love that. Yes, the mini disco looks like it might feature nightly. Edith is funny though, super confident with people she knows but very shy with strangers, so time will tell if she actually joins in at any point. Thankyou, its fab being able to write on at last. S We are thankyou, very lucky to be here. Its a beautiful island and our area is just stunning. Thankyou, we are having the beat time so far. We are at the Playa Mar and Spa in Puerto Pollensa. Alcudia is the next resort and a 20 minute bus ride, so definitely worth you making the trip here if you have a spare day. Fingers crossed for you. Yes, they both crashed and slept through |
