Skiing this winter?

Has anyone booked or planning to book for this winter in Europe?

Yes.
As my countdown says not long now 😀
Not long back from Val d’Isere after a great summer trip.
Skis are waxed ready for our return on 25 November.

I’ve booked for dh and dd to go to Zell am See for Feb half term.

We usually ski at Easter as I prefer it warmer, might book that too if the resort I want comes up, it’s not available yet unfortunately.

Jealous of all these ski holidays.

We are considering taking DS to lessons at Chill Factore this winter.

Anyone with children recommend a good age to start.

DS is almost 4.5 years.

My children started skiing at 4, they did do a few weeks of ski garden at 3 which don’t amount to much.
DD was 4 in the March so had a few lessons in the fridge at Braehead before going out to France in the April. She was by far the youngest and smallest in the group but the instructor was impressed she could carry her own skis and easily sort out her own equipment so the fridge lessons do pay off.
At an early age remember its all about fun. DD is now 19 and DS 21 and they have really missed skiing the past year.
If you are planning a Europe trip I do recommend a spring/Easter trip to easy children into skiing.
