I’ve come to Aberdeen for work for the night from Glasgow. I’m lucky that I’m missing the winds, by the time I get back tomorrow it should have passed.
My dh is in the house just now and says it’s really picking up.
I was meant to be going to Stornoway tomorrow but was advised by Logan air at the weekend to move the flights, hence why I’m up here.

It's started in the past hour here in Northumberland. Just hoping it's 3rd time lucky for us after the first two storms causing a lot of damage. The repairs were all finalised yesterday and here we go again. Stay safe everyone, hoping things aren't as bad as expected.

It’s been windy all day here in South Yorkshire, bin day in my area, plastics and glass bin too, the road was carnage….I’m at hone so took my bin out only when I heard the wagon but in the time it took to get down the drive and them get to mine I’d scooped up countless tin cans from fallen bins , it’s been a steady wind all day on bbc weather it’s saying around 40 strength, but at minute it is really heavy rain too ….you can hear it pounding the windows over the tv volume

I am in Gloucestershire, mighty windy here, nearly blew me over. No rain. I think Friday is our day for real gales but this is pretty bad.

Windy here in Fife it's the colour of the sky that's quite worrying. It's really dark at the moment. Getting the torches and candles out just in case.

Yes, I’m in the West Midlands and it’s been windy all day.
But as you say, another storm due on Friday, is meant to be worse for England.

I'm in the south and it's around 40mph today, but Friday it peaks at about 70mph. I really really hate winds like that, mother nature really scares me at times.
