Onsite Disney- joining rooms?

Currently having a bit of a rethink regarding our onsite stay.
We have 5 nights booked at CBR for 2a 3 DS (16,12,10) We are on holiday in Turkey and thinking the 1 room for 5 of us just isn’t going to work now they are older!
Want to remain onsite if possible, and looking at options could be cheaper to have 2 separate rooms as opposed to looking into the DvC type resorts or suites. If we did this though I’m assuming we’d lose our free dining credits/ $200 gift voucher etc.
Anyone done 2 rooms before and can you get them next to each other/ conjoined?

You can't book 2 rooms on 1 booking, so they'd have to be separate ones, and then you can request adjoining. You'd need to put at least 1 person (adult) in the new room, so remove them from your existing booking. If you move resort, to a value for example, then as long as you move to a qualifying room, you'd keep the offer, but it would be at the lower rate, again for 4 people as 1 person would be booked into the 2nd room.
Have you looked at the family suites at All Star Music and AOA? There are also the cabins at Fort Wilderness.

Thanks- yes, cabins at fort wilderness or a family suite at AOA or Allstars would be next option. Also looks like 2 bed villas at Saratoga are available on Disney website, but would mean paying significantly more, ( though would be perfect!) and not sure if we’re originally included in the dining credit offer?

The dinning credits are per room rather than per person. so shouldn't loose anything by taking one adult off the original booking if staying at same level of resort.

Of course! I must have been in the mindset of old dining plan credits. Or maybe wishful thinking that the new dining credit was per person rather than per room

We've stayed in a 2 bed at SSR before, but when it cost £4600 with free DDP. Not sure I could swallow the price of it now myself though. It was included:

Yes- a significant cost increase 😬 but may end up doing this as it looks better suited to us. Will be binning the pre paid for genie plus I reckon. Cost aside- would you recommend SSR? Not somewhere we’ve considered before.

SSR gets mixed reviews, but we (including our children) really liked it. We stayed there twice, and both times we requested the Grandstand area, next to the pool. For us it was a perfect location that was close to everything, first bus stop, and only about 15 minutes walk to Disney Springs, or 5 to the boat. I think people's experience of SSR can vary depending on which part they're in as it is a big resort so some areas are more of a walk to the main pool, food court etc. We'd happily go back though

Just remember that if you want two rooms with a connecting internal door, you must request ‘connecting’ rooms. Otherwise, ‘adjoining’ rooms are just next door with no connection.

You can have 2 rooms on one booking with 3rd party orders. Just not directly with Disney.

We have 2 rooms on one order with attraction tickets direct including 2x dining credits and 2 x $250 gift cards.
