Gifts for flight attendants

Do you ever give a gift to flight attendants?
Im sure I read people do this and thought it would be nice to thank them for good service 😉

I would never give them a gift but I wouldn’t criticise anybody who does as we must all do what we think is right.

I did send an E Mail to Virgin once about an awesome Staff Member who was probably the best and most professional person I have met in over 45 years of flying

Virgin sent me a lovely gift for that E Mail so it shows they care and do read them.

No, it wouldn’t ever occur to me until I’d read someone on here did it. Generally I don’t give gifts to people who I’m paying for a service. The two exceptions are a Christmas gift to my hairdresser and beautician both of whom I’ve been going to for years.

No never even thought about it.. I did take small presents for the cruise we went on for half a dozen members of staff as I had read they find it hard to get hold of some things whilst they are on the ships for months on end

The first time was on a special BA flight so a nice box of chocolates. I had gone out and was doing the immediate return flight. I did get champagne in return.

Gave virgin crew biscuits out and cupcakes on the way back. Also got a glass of fizz and a pair of delight sears to myself.

I wouldn’t take a gift, you don’t know what the service is going to be like and I’d be embarrassed if they assumed I wanted special attention by giving them it. If the service was exceptional, I’d go down the email route. I think they’d appreciate their bosses knowing that they’ve done a good job more than they’d appreciate sweets that they can get on board.

I give my hairdresser and nail tech gifts at Xmas, as over the year I spend a lot of hours with them and chatting with them.

I always give gifts…I don’t want any special treatment though…but I give a box of M&S biscuits going out, and a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts coming home. 🙂

I often give biscuits to the reception in the hotel too. 🙂
