We definitely eat the gifts don’t worry!

It’s an absolute treat when anyone ever brings gifts on for the crew. A nice surprise to start the day off, a lot of passengers don’t even speak to you when you ask how they are so when anyone goes out their way to bring some sweets it makes our day.

I must admit it has never crossed my mind before, but I will think of it from now on!
So now I’m thinking of it…would it just be on long-haul flights or short haul too?!

I have never taken gifts , never even thought about it .

But as we get off the plane I do always thank the cabin crew , We’ve taught our little granddaughter to do the same .

I've seen them eating the gifts I have given them.

A big box of biscuits is always welcome.
I wasn’t sure if it would be a safety issue or rule just in case there was something wrong with them iykwim

We had an amazing crew member on our flight a few weeks ago from LHR to Charlotte. He was so nice, chatted away to us and as we were at the back, and had no choice left when it came to the meal ( which I was fine with and said I was happy to have the pasta) he kept back both versions of the snack for me.
We had some M &S sweets left( unopened) which we gave him as a thank you and he was so appreciative.

being completely honest, i have never had "exceptional" service from a flight attendant.i generally find it really scary asking for a second cup of tea..i have actually only asked one time feeling brave and i did get it with a false smile hahaha...i have done a lot of flying and i think i find the American attendees friendlier

It's never crossed my mind to take gifts for cabin crew, but I will leave good feedback when they are exceptional, and often they have been.
We've had some great VA crew over the years, the year my Granddaughter was given her red crew jacket and got to go into UC to help was amazing and I made sure I emailed my thanks.
I often take a gift though(something Scottish) for hotel reception if they've been helpful before we arrive, some we are still in contact with years later.

The crew on this flight were just lovely.

Wouldn’t even dream of giving a gift - Never even thought if it. I pay money for a service and I expect it to be good. It’s why I hate the tipping culture.

My boy has SN and I must say the cabin crew have always been exceptional with us. I have never thought about taking some sweeties for them but I will now 🙂

What is wrong with spreading a little happiness after the past couple of years we've had?

Yes they get paid to do a job but some of them go above and beyond their roles every day. You just need to read some of the posts on the dibb to see what ignorance and attitudes they deal with 😉😉
