My husband and I totally agree Tom. It's like a third world country ..and an example of the lunatics are running the asylum. They'll never seen to learn

It sickens me.

As of 3am 18 children dead..dead because of gun laws, dead becsuse of the attitude of Americans towards guns, dead becsuse of an archaic law about the right to bare arms ..dead because when it gets down to it ,those in power have no balls. Dead becsuse they were unfortunate enough to live in the USA. There is much wrong with the UK and Europe where I live. And yes tragic events happen but rarely do we day goodbye to our children at breakfast and then have to collect bodies by lunchtime and yet in the USA another mass school shooting is literally met with ...oh it's tragic... platitudes and then move on nothing to see hear.
What a country...

I’ve just literally walked through Disney Springs. Maybe 5000+ people who are probably more concerned about the price of a ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈ beer.

Edit. I see the numbers are still increasing.

I’m angry, because they have allowed it to happen again. All because of one stupid archaic law. It seems the right to bear arms is more important than the lives of those 21 people and babies. I agree with TB, it’s sickening.

I could not agree with you more, anyone defending the right to bear arms is an absolute fool. I could care less if it’s part of their history it has no place in a modern world. Americans have had this wrong for decades and will continue to get it wrong because they care more for the right to shoot bullets at people and animals than a child’s right to live or a parents right to keep their kids safe.

This is just one aspect of America I loathe to the bottom of my soul.

They have had so many incidents when will they do something about this?
How awful for those parents not knowing if their child is amongst them.
Heartbreaking 💔

This is heartbreaking and cannot understand how the Americans can defend the right to bear arms and watch as more children die. However I don’t think anything will change sadly - if Obama couldn’t get gun laws changed when 5 year olds died at Sandy Hook, then I hold out little hope this tragedy will precipitate a review of gun control.

They will not accept the solution ignorant people
We have been doing a lock down practice in our UK primary for a few years now. My niece who lives in Birmingham has been doing it for a few years longer.
It's all under tables, lock doors/windows & silence.
Our school is like Fort Knox compared when I first started working there many years ago.
All essential now in this sad world.

Every time I hear of a school shooting I remember Dunblane and those poor parents.

Sadly for America it's another case of groundhog day.

Agree Tom but we are all desperate to go there! Look at the anger here because the president won't drop a test!
Nothing will change with this senseless waste of life. The NRA carries far to much sway in the country.
Let's see Trump - a big champion of the NRA - come out and express his sadness and anger at yet another slaughter of innocent children and call for some form of gun control.

I think I’m done with USA after this NY trip, I’m sure I won’t be missed, there’s a lot happening there at the moment besides their gun issues that doesn’t sit right with me.
Every Country has its faults I know that ,but I reckon that’ll be it there for me anyway.
Those poor children and teacher, so sad.
