Resorts with one bedroom suites
We are hoping to go in February/March and usually stay onsite at Saratoga Springs but not doing Disney Parks this time. Would still like to have some time around Disney Resorts and Springs. We would possibly like a villa or hotel/resort that has one bedroom and kitchen facilities. We have stayed in a villa before but not available for our dates and don't know of any hotels with the facilities that we would like.

The Blue Heron Resort at Lake Bryan is good value & close to Disney Springs. The apartments are a bit dated but they’re a good size with a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer.
I’d happily stay there again if we were doing Disney however as we’re only doing Universal next year we’re thinking of staying at the Enclave.

Thanks. Can you walk to any restaurants from The Blue Heron or would you have to drive?

Have a look around Palm Parkway area, right at the entrance to Hotel Plaza Boulevard, walking distance to loads of restaurants, 5-10 mins drive to Disney Springs.
We like to stay at the SPM Blue Tree Resort, but there’s also Cyprus Pointe & Grande Villas, which all have 1 & 2 bed apartments, I think the latter 2 have 3 beds as well. There are others but these are all next to each other so they spring to mind easily.

We stayed at Hapimag (Lake Berkeley) last month in a 3 bedroom townhouse with 2 of the bedrooms blocked off.
Walmart is a couple of minutes away and loads of restaurants within 5-10 minutes. |

You could just rent DVC points in a 1 bed. Not the cheapest option by any means but walking to Disney Springs or getting a boat from OKW etc, or try another resort, Epcot resort etc. Boardwalk standard view is the best points value on property.

There are restaurants within a 5 minute drive from the Blue Heron but not really within walking distance, unless you count Dunkin Doughnuts 😁.
