Hi Fellow Dibbers
We are looking at returning to Orlando Oct 2020 but cannot believe how how much the prices have gone up (£2000) on this years price, We always stay at Bahama Bay Resort and like the freedom and amenities of a condo, Can anybody recommend the cheapest way to travel we are looking at going mid October, 2 adults and 14 year old Thanks in advance Guys . |

Welcome! Is that £2000 in total, each or is that how much it’s gone up?

Hi,
I save money this October flying into Tampa rather than Orlando and it’s about 1.20 hrs drive so not much longer than flying into Orlando. I then also saved on indirect flights I always treat the first day as a travel day so a 2 hr stop over is fine with me. On my first visit I stayed at Bahama Bay which I really enjoyed it then on second visit stayed at Encantada resort which was a bit cheaper and the amenities where not that different I enjoyed both locations equally. This time I am staying at Regal Oaks but could have got cheaper resorts but picked this more for the location really, I got a good deal on Airbnb this time rather than through an travel agent. This will be my 4th visit to the US where I have arranged everything myself and always tailor visits to suit my budget and save a few pound in the process. I just spend a bit of time researching before booking anything. I have always found this site and trip advisor great sources of information and advice. If you want park tickets just look out for deals they have on and any add ons you can get. This visit I got deals on Discover Cove swim with the dolphins for under £80pp Sealife, ICON wheel and madam Tussaud’s all 3 for £20pp Old Town Wristbands and Gatorland the 2 for £25pp Peter.
