I agree but as a minimum if you want to avoid lots of check in and outs would add an extra night or more in San Diego

Good places to go. Could I add Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon to your list when you’re in Las Vegas?

So are you driving between locations?
When you say you are planning to do the Grand Canyon, do you mean a day trip to the West Rim? If so, have you considered the South Rim with a stop over? It is a longer drive each way, but if you stop over for a night it is much more of a nice break. South Rim is the one you will have seen in the movies and much bigger than the West rim. San Diego is going to be a 6-8 hour drive from Las Vegas, it is only 2-3 more from the South rim and you could take a different route to the one you will go from LA back th LV. I agree on adding another night to San Diego as it will be later by the time you get there and there is plenty to do. Not sure which hotel you mean in LA, but if it is the one up by Santa Monica then you will have to cross LA which means it could be a 3+ hour drive from SD. What do you plan to do in LA? Its massive and things are so spread out. I would maybe do some swapping. LV to LA if staying in the north of LA, then down to SD. From SD, a night in Palm Springs to do things there, then up to Grand Canyon South rim and back across to LV to finish. |
