Mobile Help for a friend there now - fasspass

Hi my friend is at DLP now. She mentioned to me the queues were long, so I asked her if she was making use of fasspasses and she said no, they are not part of her package.
I went 18 mo the ago but I thought it was done at the ride with your ticket that you scan? Or has it changed now?

I found the fast passes to be fairly useless in DLP as they only have so many and they are soon used up. My best advice, if your friend is staying in a Disney hotel, is to make full use of the extra magic hours. Arrive about 30 minutes before the park opens and head straight to the popular rides. The Studios are much quieter as to be honest there isn’t a great deal there just at the minute. We rode Ratatouille multiple times in the single rider queue. We were always in the same rat just not sat next to each other.

Yes any one with a park ticket can use fastpass for free. Scan the tickets at the machines near the fastpass rides.

Get there dead on 8.30 and head to Big Thunder. Pretty quiet first thing.

If Fantasyland is a priority, head there next. You can do Peter Pan, Dumbo, Carousel and Teacups pretty much as walk ons.

Then Discoveryland and do Buzz and Hyperspace Mountain. Then get a FP for Star Tours, or head to Pirates or Phantom Manor.

Big Thunder is the hardest FP to get but if you really want to ride it again, go there as soon as the rest of the park opens and get an FP.

For Studios do Ratatouille at 8.30 unless riding Crush which doesn’t have FP and pretty much always has a queue of at least an hour.

Then get a ToT fastpass and do some shows.

Fastpass is at the rides yes. There are only9 across the two parks. All they need is their tickets.

When I have been with school we get there for 10 and always manage to get fastpasses. Granted it’s not school
Holidays. But there is no reason not to use them.

For Ratatouille I’d do single rider if possible.

Thanks everyone! She is at Santa Fe so has use of magic hours. I thought the fast passes were still at the ride entrance, I’ll tell her that she can use them. She was under the assumption that her package didn’t include the use of fast passes.

Tell her to also use the app to check for queue times. It might help to plan where to go next.
