Never had this but I am having a major battle with them as we speak - which they will lose!

Good luck getting your money back as their standard line is the booking isn't with them but with another company. They even said I had booked with Auto Europe even though I hadn't.

To cut the nonsense I have done a charge back on my credit card as I lost the will to live with their appalling customer service.

To your issue. Have they confirmed by E Mail the booking is cancelled as mine was 'hidden' in their system and it couldn't be amended hence I got them to cancel it. It was then the fun started!

Is it that you can't just do OLCI then? Or are they saying it's cancelled?

You said it was pay on arrival ? right

so you didn't give any CC detail or pay any deposit, did you ?

in that case, just price up another rental and forget about it. that will save you lots of worries and faffing around, and you may even discover you can find better prices. Have a look on Andy's site, and ask him if he can get you a good quote.

I am beginning to wonder whether any of the car hire companies can be trusted. I just hope that my booking next year with Alamo will be ok. I have booked with Andy so it will be payed up before I go.

I know its a long shot, I have 2 bookings the Alamo brits one shows up on both the .co.uk site and the .com site, although the .com site won't let me amend. However the one made through Andy only shows on the .com site. If I go onto the UK site it comes up with a message saying: "No reservations found for search criteria" this did cause a slight panic when I looked as the price has gone up a lot since I booked, I thought it may have been cancelled by mistake. If yours is saying cancelled I guess it's not that, it was just a thought.

I don't know what's going on with Alamo at the moment. I've booked through auto europe for May 2020 but now auto europe are not showing Alamo for next year, I've tried other dates but nothing for April or June either.

I have infinite patience but Rental Clerk Agents do tend to stretch it!

Once I knew Alamo had messed up my booking I very quickly put a new one through which I am currently driving here. I then started E Mail correspondence with them that must have 15 of their ludicrous and all different replies on it. That I have sent to BarclayCard who are doing a charge back for me.
The people they employ in their help centre can at best be described as fools and at worst as cretins.
