Purchasing a magic band at Florida Mall?

Hi,

We're flying into Sanford at easter. We've planned Epcot as our first park but I'd like to get magic bands sorted beforehand. We're staying close to Florida Mall. Does anybody know if the Disney Store there does the magic bands? It would be handy just to be able to pop there on our arrival evening.

Just for anyone else who wants to know this, I phoned the Florida Mall store and they don't sell the magic bands there.

Magic bands are only available to purchase at the resort or the parks x

The Disney character warehouse stores at the outlets also sell them too don't they? They might be older designs but they still do the same things.

You can buy them in the airport, there is a larger Disney store just near where you get off the monorail 0 it's called the 'Ear Port'

I tried the Florida Mall and outlet stores in January and the only place I managed to buy them that wasn't in the parks was Pin Trader's at Disney Springs.

The Disney Store at the FL Mall is part of the Disney Store chain in the consumer products division of The Walt Disney Company. The airport stores are part of Parks and Resorts (as are the outlet stores). This is why you won't see the magic bands at the stores in the mall.

If you could find some at the outlet stores would I be correct in assuming you would still need to get them associated with your tickets at the park itself?

Isn't there a serial number on the bands that you can type in to MDE?

Ahhh... Didn't realise the was a page on the MDE website where you could make the link yourself - that might be useful. Thanks.

I only see my own ticket on the MDE page to link to though. The kids tickets might be under my wife's MDE account, will have to check that.
