Do travel insurance premiums go up if you claim?

I'm now wondering whether I should try to claim the air fares back from our holiday. They were £350 and the travel insurance was over £200 because of mom's age. If I claim this now (unfit to fly) do I have to declare it for future holidays and will this then make the cost of the insurance prohibitive?
Would I be better off counting the air fare as a sunk cost and not claim? Fortunately, that's the only loss on the holiday as the hotel was booked on a 24 hour cancellation booking. I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle?

My 'claim' for my Son with an operation, 3 day hspital stay, me having to stay an extra 5 days. Him having an UC seat/bed to come home. My flight to accompany him. Extra car hire, Gatwick parking, food and phone calls was not that far off $100K. Cost to me = £50
Same Company the following year and not a penny more to pay.

Unlike car insurance, I dont recall being asked if I'd ever previously made a claim on holiday insurance when I was looking for new insurance the other month, so I dont think it makes a difference.

I was wondering this as we claimed back £805.00 last year and used approx $1000 worth of medical last year.

I don't see how it can make any difference, I've never been asked when buying insurance if I've ever claimed in the past.

I wish it was the same with car insurance!

was asked years ago by direct line , but never by anyone else
on a personal note I wont touch direct line with a barge pole , they sold my details to ambulance chasers despite me ticking box not to share details , repeatedly ignored my complaints , make sure when you claim you emphasis don't share details with other companies

Travel insurance isn't like car insurance where you build up no claims benefits. I've had to claim on travel insurance on a number of occasions for medical reasons and it was had no effect on subsequent premiums.

Having had anxiety I declared it when getting qoutes. I was then asked if it had ever caused me to cancel a planned trip - which it hadnt.
Apart from that (anxiety) I dont think claims history is requested but you will of course have to declare the health condition in future.
