7 seater minivan for 4 adults 3 children?!

Hi guys, 5th time back this year but we're now taking 7 peeps 4 adults and 3 small children.

Booked as normally we have had an easy upgrade to a bigger car when over there. If not and we have to stick to a 7 seater will it be too much of a squeeze? If this is the case my thinking behind it was - 4 adults, 3 kids so a suitcase or 2 can go under their legs if not using leg space anyway?

5 cases in the boot, only taking 6 in total anyway with hand luggage.

Anyone that has done this please let me know.

We had a seven seater last year for five adults, one teen and a child. We fitted fine with seven cases and hand luggage. We are all fairly small people but never had space problems. Did have to fit one of the cases between the seats on the airport run though!

Leon. It will be fine, they eat luggage! So easy as well with the sliding doors. For a family they really are a Gods send.

If the worst happened couldn't you put some in a cab to the hotel/villa and the same on the way back? Would imagine it would cost less than upgrading to a 15 seater or whatever the next size up is, and will be a lot easier to drive for the rest of the holiday?

We had a seven seater on our last trip with 4 adults and 3 teenagers and we fit in very comfortably... only the trip to and from the airport was a little cramped as we did have a couple of cases in the footwells

We're also 4 adults 3 kids, but looking at Dodge caravan. Is this same as the mini van? (Will have 6 cases)

Most rental sites call them ''7 Passenger Minivan: Dodge Grand Caravan or similar''

Actually the Dodge Caravan is the make/model to avoid as it's the bottom of the pile regarding the interior cabin
The Town & Country is it's stablemate and has a much higher spec
They are both being replaced by the Pacifica which is much nicer. Loads were arriving last Nov when I was last there so I suspect they fully dominate now.

Thanks, another thing, if we book through Andy at DFCH, and go with Alamo, can we still skip counter?
