we are off site duchess so have to wai for the 30 day Window but its coming along nicely . i have got 30 hours overtime this month and 55 overtime next month so i will almost be near to my spending money target

We got most of ours about $1.4 so not much better but still.. Did have some left at $1.5 from NYC.. Maybe even some at $1.62 in the travellers cheques from when we went to Orlando in October 2014! That would be nice again!

Just taking set amount. Some days will go large Some days we will go easy xx

i have a food /spends budget which we will divide daily and roll over , kids will have a daily budget then i have a shopping budget on top

Not sure how we'll take our money on this road trip, would have like to have done mainly travellers cheques but I worry about them being accepted before we get to Orlando.

I guess we can take the amount for Orlando in those if things don't change until we go.

Obviously with travelling & having it all in the car for large parts of the trips we wouldn't want all cash.

Not too keen on these pre paid cards.

Keep reading things about hotel safes too lately which is worrying.

When we went in 2009 didn't actually use the safe at the hotel as it didn't look secure at all, it was on the wall with like a key, but looked like you could just wedge it open - so we put it all in the suitcase inside another suitcase & kept them locked & out of the way, luckily everything was ok.

The hotel has had new safes since then & there electronic ones which seem much better.

I have to say carrying money is always a worry for me. I have in the past just taken enough cash for small items, a prepaid card and my po credit card for back up (as no charges and usually pretty good exchange rate)

My only worry is the day we swap hotels, we will be checking out first thing to hit the parks but the next check in is 3pm so will have to have all the money on me that day.

Not planning on it, never really used them.

We stay 1 night at fort Lauderdale, 5 nights at All star Sports then 10 nights at Fairfield Inn and suites LBV (with 2 nights mid stay at cabana bay). We only have one day when we are roomless for a while, which is when we move from ASM to Fairfield Inn.
