Shopping in Clearwater
Hi all,
I am making my first trip to Florida in October for our honeymoon and we will be spending 4 nights at the start of the holiday in Clearwater. Has anybody got any recommendations for good shopping in the Clearwater area? Once we get to Orlando we already have a pretty packed schedule and won't be keeping our hire car as we will be staying onsite in both Universal and Disney so hoping to get all of my shopping done in Clearwater if possible. Any recommendations welcome |

No shopping as such in Clearwater Beach but lots within a short(ish) drive:
Countryside mall at Clearwater: OK although a few shops had pulled out when we were last there, approx 10-15 mins drive Tyrone Sq mall in St Petersburg: same comments as per Countryside mall, approx 20 mins drive Tampa premium outlets: open less than a year, not as big as the Orlando outlets but still good & far less crowded, approx 40 mins drive Ellenton premium outlets: bigger than Tampa outlets, less crowded than Orlando, approx 45-60 mins drive International plaza in Tampa: very good, a mix of Florida mall & Mall of Millenia shops, approx 30 mins drive |

Thank you Scooby. I've had a look at the places you mentioned and will definitely be paying a visit to the places you have recommended in Tampa. Thanks for your help!

There's a smaller mall, clearwater mall at the junction of drew and us 19 too, has a big skechers outlet, we always find good bargains there.

We were at Tampa premium outlets last Monday and really didn't think much of it, Ellenton much better.

Like you we did most of our shopping from Clearwater in May.
The International in Tampa was by far the best. Similar to Mall at Millenia. There is Westshore too but that's not quite as good. I really like the Ellenton Outlets. It's always quiet when I go and good bargains too.
