Thomas Cook usually do very cheap one ways into Manchester and we've also used BA Airmiles flights (buying what we needed to top up) as that was cheaper than paying their regular (extortionate) one way prices.

Yeah same with Virgin. It was cheaper to pay the extra and use airmiles than to buy the flight!

Try Thomas Cook they do one way flights. I have used them one way to Orlando from Glasgow and Aberdeen via Manchester
