What's Thrifty like

We are regular travellers and over the years have always used either Dollar and recently Alamo. Recent searches have shown Thrifty to be considerably cheaper. Anyone know of any hidden extras with Thrifty , how good are they and do you get to pick your car as with Alamo

Rarely see many negative reviews on here about them. Their toll admin fees are high though so be careful of that.
It's actually part of Dollar (or vice versa) and both are owned by Hertz

The big chatter on review sites is that Hertz pushes it's older cars down the line to Dollar and Thrifty albeit thats not the full facts as both Dollar & Thrifty take delivery of brand new cars.
