Ticket guidance for short trip

Hi all
Will be lucky enough to go for visit number 16 in October this year
However, this will be 6 nights (5 full days) whereas in the past, we have always gone for 14-17 days and bought the ultimate tickets.
Our dates this time will be Monday 26 to Friday 30 October.
We want to do 2 days Disney and 2 days Universal/IOA (using park hopping as much as possible) and the MNSSHP (Never been so it's a must do for us this time around).
There are 3 adults and 1 child (my eldest will be 11 so I believe she will have to have an adult ticket, please correct me if I am wrong).
I know that tickets will work out expensive, so does anyone have any advice for how best to get the tickets we want?
Many thanks in advance...

Undercover tourist are a good place to start for universal - see what deals come out.

Direct from Disney will be cheapest option for your Disney tickets (works out at $301 each for a 2 day park hopper I think)

Thanks. Will see what UT comes up with. Do you think just put on gate at Disney? Or should I book them in advance? Any pros / cons to either option?

getting the tickets at the gate means you will not get to make advance FP+ selections , so you'll only be left with whatever is left on the day

and they might even be more expensive

you're also right that your 11 years old will need adult tickets. Child is 3 - 9
