I see you can have an option to include a fixed number of attractions.
We wished that we had stayed in Seaport with hindsight. On the stickies for this section of the DIBB, you will find one by ‘Aims’, a SD resident. I would not now book anything without running it through her first. Her knowledge would appear encyclopaedic. I do know that the airport is very close to downtown from my own experience and therefore it is in Taxi or Uber range to Seaport..

We had Gosandiego5’s . That was because it fitted our needs and as you saw in the report, there were 3 very good attractions to pass as we headed N to our departure from LA, Scripps, Canoeing at La Jolla (aborted due to sea state) and Legoland at Carlsbad. All were included on the card.
Your needs may differ from mine!

Thanks, I have spent some time in Aims thread but will definitely review. We will be arriving on Amtrak from Anaheim so think we can walk from there to Seaport.
Will spend some time reviewing the attractions we’d want to do and then the different pass options. Seems a bit crazy planning at the moment but decided to be optimistic for next year!

I have had two California attempts cancelled this year. I am in advanced planning and just waiting for flights next August.

We are looking at into SFO, out of Phoenix to Chicago and then after a couple of days, Chicago to home.

Objectives.
Love tour SFO in a VW Camper.
SFO Ghost tour.
Whale watch and canoeing in Monterey.
Hearst Castle
Pismo Beach
Hollywood for Warner Bros Studio Tour
Universal Studios.
AMARC boneyard at Tucson.
Pima Airspace Museum
Tombstone (scene of gunfight at OK Coral.
Fly to Las Vegas
Look round Vegas including ‘Heart Attack Grill and Pawn Stars..

In life, you have to look forward not back and in addition, simply shrug off problems.

Hi lots of good advice so far.
We would suggest after San Fran drive to Yosemite for 2 n and then to Monterey and if possible go whale watching, one of the best things we have ever done.
Monterey whale watching, aquarium, 17 mile dr, pebble beach, Carmel and the coast in this area is stunning.
On coast rd so many stops, San Simeon for elephant seal beach, Hearst castle, condor point,
Several places to stay. We stayed in Santa Barbara which we loved.

I hope the OP doesn't mind if I jump in here to reply to this The Amtrak stops at the Santa Fe station in downtown San Diego, and you are right that the seaport area is within walking distance from that station- there are a lot of hotels in that area. If you ever need any tips or advice, feel free to send me a private message if you wish. I'm always happy to share my knowledge of San Diego!
