Vax platinum

Anyone got this? Thinking if getting one to save on getting professional carpet cleaners in.

Is it really heavy?

Can currently get it for £249 plus a free floor steam cleaner

Any comments appreciated.

I have looked at that one and it looks like I have the earlier model
I know it’s horses for courses but I dislike it with a passion , it’s currently in bits in the garage as I lost patience trying once again to put it back together !

It does a great job , but weighs a tonne and it is so fiddly , I use my old Bissell instead

My mum has the smaller Vax and it still has the accessories and you can lift it up the stairs unlike mine.
I have a Morphy Richards steam mop , I used to have vax but I gave it away

Sadly not a Vax lover here 😔 Sorry to be such a downer but it is an expensive bit of kit if it’s not suitable

Cindy, I was thinking about getting one but Dibbers persuaded me to try Rug Doctor. I still haven’t tried it but I will in the next couple of weeks. If it’s good I’ll be pleased because I don’t really have space to store another cleaning gadget !

I appreciate your views. I was a bit worried about weight and had read it was fiddly to put together. Thank you.

think you may be right Linda. Storage would have been an issue. I just thought maybe better than calling out these companies who clean and despite promises leave carpets damp for days!

Maybe I will look up rug doctor!
