Fireworks/character meets/parades?

When can we honestly envisage these back?I won’t be back until they are but as time goes on im thinking more and more will we ever get back to how it was. I watched Happily ever after on YouTube for a Disney fix will the crowds ever be allowed like that again. Do you think Oct 21 for the 50th? Just wondered everyone’s thoughts...
I’m a glass half full type of person and hope everything is back to the old normal - am I going to be disappointed . The non planning is torture as i don’t want a half experience

I think we'll be waiting years not months. More reports of reinfections (though a small number) doesn't bode well and could suggest vaccines may not be as successful as we'd like.

Airlines arent predicting air travel will be back at normal levels until 2025, if it is close to accurate then it's unlikely things would have been close to normal a long time before that.

I'm taking the view that things are what they are and the long it takes the less likely somethings will go back to the way they were so I'll just try and enjoy what I can.

I just want to go back to my happy place with everything back as close to how it was before as possible. I really believed 2021 I thought ŵould be fine but I’m having doubts
Think Disney won’t be on the cards for us for awhile

No one knows but this forum is extremely negative so you won't get any positive responses. Doom and gloom rules.

I agree which is why we are booking for 2022. If there is still the mask policy in place and the other things that make up a Disney holiday we will postpone again. My daughter has ASD and her favourite part of the parks is cuddling the characters - plus she is absolutely not able to wear a mask - so we won’t be going.

I’m still hoping we can go at Easter. We go 7 months today & will go if we’re allowed in! This is a rebook from July & we’ve past caring now about the cancelled things as we just want to go! I really hope the water parks will be open if not we’ll have volcano bay!

I saw a few videos from various people staying in BLT last night showing some light projections were being tested on the castle. I'm hoping that means sooner rather than later!

Once you start seeing shows in the parks and crowds return to sports venues then we'll be getting close to potentially having fireworks or projection shows. Paris has just had to pull it's shows, 1 before it even opened and the other only a few weeks in. Performers tested positive and local infection rates are rising again. Unfortunately there's no guarantee once things start up they won't have to stop them again

I would like to think they will run some projections on the castles during Halloween season but an actual projection show is unrealistic. Selfie spots have gone down well in Paris but it's hard to forsee hugging characters at any park until hugging family is normal.

I'd go to Florida tomorrow if we were allowed in and I'm surprised there isn't even talk of borders being opened by now.

Rapid testing is probably what need to get to normality quickly.

Oh if only the borders were open as at least I could book something(my insurance doesn’t cover if FCO advice is in place when booking)
I want to hug the characters

We had our October trip cancelled so rebooked for February. Booked through BA and Disney who both have decent policies currently so can move both for no cost if I need to. Costs may go up though. I won't book anything unless I can move it with no fees or cancel for free
