Mobile Landry card - yes or no

Apologies as I am sure there are plenty of threads on this... but, just wanted to get a bit more info.

We want to eat in both Rainforest and TRex when we are there in a few weeks time.

We have all of our ADRs booked but not for these as was planning on using the Landry card to get in. Is it needed? Does it help?

We didn’t want to book ADR for these just to give us a little flexibility as with DS.

Finally, we would use our DDP TS credits for these but pay OOP for DS. I guess we would really need to have at least usd 25 on the bill to make the most of what we would pay for the card?

Hope above makes sense.

Or do we just risk the lines for walk ins at these restaurants?

The Landry card definitely helps with wait times. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom without making an ADR. We actually heard someone ahead of us in the queue advised that there was a 45 minute wait for tables - with the Landry Card we were seated in a couple of minutes.

LC is our back up when we don't have an ADR or last minute change of plans, the ability to get priority seating is a boon- we've witnessed walk up guests being advised 90+ & we've been sat in under 15
Just the same as any DDP restaurant you can use your TS credits anyway that you want, you could always get a starter plus OOP for kids meal, to use up $25

Thank you both... we checked the menus last night and kids meals seem to be USD 9, and by the time we had a beer / cocktail (or 2 as 1 is included within DDP? ) then it will be USD 25.

Think it seems to be worth it for the walk-up time saving maybe?

Also noticed Bubba Gump is on it, which we often go to if / when in Universal so worth keeping hold of!

We used the card twice at Yak and Yeti. First time we were seated straight away despite the queue and the second we only had a five minute wait, they were queued out the door on this occasion.

You might need to check if you can use the card for alcohol because it used to be in some places that it didn’t cover that.

Thank you...

Didn't even think of Yak & Yeti! This was on our original plans... we still have 1 more TS credit to use so this could be an option without ADR and with a Landry Card!

Great!

I haven't left too late to order?

As you can see from my countdown we go in 18 days!

My card came in 2 weeks but if it doesn't you should be able to log in on line and see your card there or use the App which shows a virtual card.

We used for Yak and Yeti twice (both walk ins) and were seated within a few minutes ...getting disgruntled looks from the huge queues

Best money we ever spent! It’s saved us countless hours of wait, plus we have had several lots of $25 back over the years. It’s a no brainer for me.
