Sorry it’s took a while to reply. It’s a fairly large Tripp case, possibly the tallest one.

You might be able to fit two in. One one way, and the other the opposite way.

it didn't fit into my hard sided trip case
what I did was remove the hilt and pack on it's own I then folded over the top of the provided bag and wrapped the strap round the handle to hold it down
that way it wasn't top heavy and was easy to carry

Can somebody confirm the length of the blade when the handle has been removed? I've read 31 inches and 34 inches - that's the difference between fitting in my case and not!

The full length of the detached Savi's blade is 34 inches.

The light-up part of the blade when fitted is 31 inches long. However, when removed from the hilt, the full length of the blade is 34 inches; 31 inches for the light-up part and 3 inches for the black bit at the bottom that slots into the hilt.

Hence why you'll read about both 31 inches long and 34 inches long. It depends on what's being talked about.

There are actually 3 lengths of blades at WDW - 26 inches, 31 inches and 36 inches. These are the lengths of the light-up portion. You can only get the medium length (31/34 inch) at Savi's Workshop. The other two are available separately from Dok-Ondar's.
