What makes you feel old ?

I have just watched an old episode of Top of the Pops and New kids on the way block were on.
I used to have a thing for Jordan Knight 😍so Googled him. He is 50yrs old ! I know logically he was the same age as me but i suddenly felt very old 😊.

What creeps up unexpectedly to make you feel old ?

I was (still am) a huge Osmonds fan back in the 70’s and when I look at pictures or videos of them now it makes me realise how old I am.
Also the fact I need a knee replacement is another sign of old age 😥
Sometimes I look at old photos and think where have the last 45 years gone?

My two lads laughing at me when I assert that Felicity Kendall, Michelle Phillips, Debbie Harry, Kate Bush and others were absolutely and awesomely beautiful when I was the age of my boys.

When you have a conversation at work with colleagues about something or someone and you expect them to know what it is/who they are and they don’t. A recent example would be a teasmaid. We were having a conversation at work about them and my younger (24 ish) colleague had no idea what one was.
I’ve never owned one but I’m old enough to know what they are.

This reminds me of a couple of weeks ago when the Derbyshire police where in the press a lot. Someone sent me a joke with a picture of Julie Andrews being arrested by them as she was clearly singing the Hills are alive with the sounds of music'. The caption for it read 'Not today love' as they were marching her away. I found it hilarious and sent it to my daughter who is 24. She sent me a message back saying 'I don't get it?' I had to then explain, but I felt so old lol

Nothing musically makes me feel old. I'm 44 but love all genres & ages of music form 1920s jazz right up to current & new artists (love listening to my local BBC introducing. Big fav is dressed like wolves). I did have a crush on Kylie but she hasn't aged! In fact I think she's even more beautiful now! LOL

For me its the hitting 40 then it's been an ongoing issue of bad knee, hernia, tennis elbow, bad back & the constant uncontrollable sounds I make when getting up or sitting down! Haha

I was talking about a post I’d seen on Facebook in work a few weeks ago and one of the things was about a party line on your phone.
A young staff member was horrified at the thought of sharing your phone line with a neighbour

Seeing an episode of Dads Army on tv. I used to think they were a bunch of old codgers, now they don't look quite so old and we commented on how slim they were (apart from Cpt Mannering) 😁

When you remember Raiders of the Lost Ark was released in 1981, 40 years old!
