We always look forward to some variety at Golden Corral - whatever anyone says it's amazing value, and a chance to get some fruit as well as whatever else we fancy!

Or just go to Hash House a Go Go and get just about anything. Good luck finishing it. Also, go to Cracker Barrel and get any egg dish along with a side of pancakes. Total will come to about $14 and you'll be stuffed full. That is, if you can finish it all.

I agree. No need to go to a buffet when the breakfast portions at places like Cracker Barrel are often huge for less money. I prefer my pancakes etc cooked to order not off a steam table. The one time I went to GC mine were actually hard from sitting there.
Pondorosa's reputation had really gone down hill and I can't think of any others except expensive Disney ones.

Our favourite for good quality food is at the Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel. It's obviously pricier than the likes of Golden Corral but far superior and well worth it as a treat.

Haha, the old Golden Corral debate again!
We love it there (especially the one at Little Lake Bryan) but it isn't for some. As for fresh pancakes we have always had ours cooked for us at GC - maybe we have been lucky.
