Mobile What is the strangest thing you have ...

Found during lockdown clearouts?

We have all been clearing out cupboards and finding lost objects. What is the strangest?

Mine is the jam tart tin my mum had when she was a little girl. I reckon they would make the strangest shaped and smallest tarts ever!

Whats your find?

Tin of boot polish from cira 1980.

Still good to go.

Retained as it might come in handy one day 😂

DH has a bedside drawer which is always full of rubbish that he insists has been put there by other family members (it hasn’t.)
With time on my hands recently I decided to venture in. Some of the highlights of items I found are a set of football studs - he hasn’t played football for over 25 years, the orthodontic brace he had when he was 11 - bound to come in handy one day and a 20 yards swimming certificate.

We were taking up some carpet and found some old newspaper cuttings. They were dated from 1976, and it turned out to be the exact day my parents met.

Stuff like that freaks me out.

Wow! Was it not dried and cracked?

It 'might come in handy' like it hasn't in the last 40 years!

I hope you framed the swim certificate! You should be extremely proud of that 🤣

And the brace? He can't have hated that as much as I did, mine went straight in the bin!

That is super coincidental! I'm amazed you knew the date!

It’s always good to be certified 😀

I really don’t know why he kept the brace, it’s so old now we could donate it to a museum of dentistry!

When we moved into our current house, I was cleaning the kitchen cupboards and I found a set of false teeth, after screaming and then washing my hands constantly they went in the bin.
