How busy are the theme parks at the end of April / May? Any advice choosing which days to visit?

Hi everyone

I am flying out to Orlando on the 28th April 2020 staying until the 9th May 2020 before heading to the Gulf Coast.

I was just wondering whether anyone has any experience visiting the theme parks during a similar time period and how busy you found them?

Do you have any tips for choosing which theme parks to attend on which day? So far; I have looked at crowd calendars and believe that the water parks are best to be avoided of a weekend?

We were thinking of going to Kennedy Space Centre on a saturday?

We will be attending the following parks:
Aquatica
Busch Gardens
Volcano Bay
Animal Kingdom
Epcot
Universal Studios
Universal Islands of Adventure
Kennedy Space Centre

This is pretty much the time we are visiting next year and also did in 2016. We found it better than our visit in September in terms of crowds possibly because of the end of spring break and easter breaks etc. Also feel that the big anniversary in 2021 may have an impact in numbers visiting.

Just check the guide on the main Dibb page but generally stay away from the parks at weekends and make your trip to the space station around the weekend.

I have a similar dilemma. We fly out on 26th April and have eight nights in Orlando before heading to Homestead near Miami for four nights .
As we are only doing one day at Hollywood studios I want to try and ensure we get the best out of it. Thinking of Wednesday 29th April, so long as it's not EMH. I've read Kennedy space centre is less busy at weekends as not as many coach tours. I'm not sure how true that is.

We went almost those exact dates this year and it wasn't too bad. There tend to be Cheerleading comps over the weekends in late April/early May, which makes the Disney and Universal parks busy from Friday-Monday with large groups of teenagers so maybe plan Disney & Universal days Tuesday-Thursday if possible?

When my kids were in public school, they had the kast week of April into May for spring break so we often went that week. We never had bad crowds but that was a few years back.

MK would start closing early for grad nights and some schools did senior field trips on vacation week. I was never concerned about school groups-most were well behaved. If you misbehaved on a trip with my children's school (ever caught using an expletive=in school behavior was expected) you were on the next flight back). It was not an empty threat and the kids were very behavior conscious.
