Coronado Springs opinions
Just seen it become available for our dates Aug 2020 and is a cheaper than POFQ.
Anyone stayed at CSR recently? What's it like for bus service and meals? It looks bigger than. carribean beach. Does it have the Disney vibe as it looks very business conference orientated? |

We stayed there last year and have booked to go back again in May 2020.
Resort is huge - (think it's bigger than Magic Kingdom in terms of footprint) - however the bridges to the new bar really should speed the time up! We never had an issue with buses, 10-15 minutes tops. There's 4 stops around the resort so never had to walk miles to get to a bus stop. Food Court was good, believe it's gone through a massive refurb too recently and looks a lot better. Good options and food was always pretty good. There was a few conferences on, it did make it a bit busier (especially the dance comps), but the conference centre is massive, so it's not like it interferes too much with the actual resort. I'd also add our room was brilliant - I've checked all of the other moderates and to me, CSR just appear to have the best looking rooms - really modern and bright. In terms of Disney Vibe, that's an interesting one. I wouldn't say it's got that in your face Disney feel like somewhere like AoA has - but the resort is stunning. Walking round the lake, the pool area is great, the Mexican theme comes through, cacti, shrubbery etc makes everything look really authentic too. My only nag with CSR - is that if you want to refill your mug or get a snack, you either have to walk to the pool bar (which isn't always open), or walk to main reception which if you are at the back of the resort is a trek. However we've booked to go back and wouldn't advise against it at all

Thanks for the reply. What's your verdict on the pool facilities there? We have two girls one 14 and one 9, is the facilities good for them or more geared towards adults?

We stayed in February. The room was lovely but we had a standard room and it was a trek to the food court. The vibe was more corporate, there were lots of adults in suits milling about during the week but on Friday night they disappeared and there was family groups arriving by the dozen, reception was packed and the weekend had a different vibe. The pools did have a lot of adults during the week but February may have influenced that as much as the conference that was going on.
We’re a couple so it was fine for us but it wouldn’t be my first choice. I’d put PO, CBR then CS. No issue with buses though, they were frequent. |

CSR is the best Delux Hotel still charged as a moderate.
The new bridges over the lake cut the complex in half. Disney332

Personally think they're really good.
Free towels and quite a lot of sunbeds too. You obviously have the big Mayan Temple which is great for the kids to look at and you also have the water slide. The Disney Cast Members we're always out doing games which would be great for your 9 year old - Imagine the 14 year old might want to swim relax and check Instagram a little more! I also like that the arcade is right next to the pool bar too, as is a small playground and volleyball court. The hot tub is quite large (easily get 15 people in). The other thing to mention is that compared to POFQ, CSR has 3 smaller pools in each of the blocks - so if the girls want a quick splash but can't be bothered to walk to the main pool, where it's a lot quiter they can go in one of those. We walked past out pool at the Ranchos section and very rarely saw more than 2 or 3 people in max! POFQ does have that closeness and intimacy though where you aren't walking over 5 minutes to get to the pool or 10 minutes to get to the front of the resort. Tough decision but certainty wouldn't rule CSR out!

Believe there is just the 1 hot tub.
Really good size however - I know we spent many a night in there talking to other resort guests which was lovely.

We’re staying there next year. I love the look if the refurbished rooms.
The Dig Site pool is supposed to be one of the bigger pools on Disney property. There’s also a smaller pool at each of the accommodation areas but from what I can see, they are decent enough size. If you book preferred you will be in Casitas which is near reception and the restaurant but a little bit of a walk from the Dig Site but with the new bridges that walking distance should be reduced. There is a Facebook group that is dedicated to CSR where the admins know everything there is to know about the resort. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort - A Magical Guide. |

Just finishing two great weeks on our 2nd visit to CSR.
Absolutely no complaints, great pool, good gym, food court has loads of choice although we don’t eat in the hotels very often (believe it if not the chicken cob salad in take away cartons was fantastic). No issues with buses and we had a couple of weekends with the dance comp’ teams here. Very handy for Blizzard Beach, HS, EPCOT & AK. Never checked on a map but feels fairly central with regards to distance from all parks etc. New restaurant/bar in the middle of the lake looks good & rooms are excellent.
