Is this a good price?
Hi
Do people think this is a good price. Family of 4 flying Virgin direct mid September next year staying at Disney's All Star Music Resort for 10 night (breakfast included) and Universal's Aventura Hotel for 4 nights. Price includes Memory Maker, Disney fast pass and and 14 day disney tickets. Price £6080 Quote from an agent. Wish to do our first holiday to Florida through a package. Thanks |

Might be worth them pricing up a moderate and then you can get the quick service dining plan for free. May be valuable to you and family. Price it all up separately (save for your flights) and then you will see how much they are charging for flights to see if good deal or not.

Does that include universal tickets too? What are your exact dates for flights, and where are you flying from?

I mean I've just been had a quick look at prices (had a quick look on Attraction Tickets Direct).
Disney All Stars Resorts, With breakfast and memory maker (Fastpass is included for everybody so always laugh when travel agents say they are offering it) - £2670 Universal Aventura - £470 Universal tickets - £1142 Total: £4282 That would leave £1800 for flights for 4 people (Around £450pp which is doable). If your price doesn't include Universal tickets - that means you could do it DIY for £3140 (without flights), meaning Virgin are arguably charging you £2900 for flights for 4 people... which is crazy. There are some fantastic package deals for sure but please don't rule out DIY too.

Don't be put off by DIY. It's only really buying the flights that is the DIY part and that's straight forward these days online.
My own opinion, book through ATD as per above for you hotels and both tickets, then wait until 11 months before you go and book your flights when they are released. An upgrade to the all star resort is corondo springs which includes the quick service dining plan (2 free meals a day). For your dates it will be an extra £710. If your not sure about anything just keep asking on this forum. It can seem daunting at first but everyone on here was in your shoes once. This forum saves people money. |

Agree with comments above, look at DIY options.
I would also upgrade to a moderate for the QS plan. Do you need 4 nights at aventura? If you booked a premier partner hotel, you could do universal in 2 days with the free EP they give you. I have no idea what that would do to your accommodation cost at Disney, but worth looking at it. |
