Universal annual pass and parking

The free parking for the annual pass as universal only becomes active after your first visit. I presume this is because you first need to park then collect your AP from the front of the parks.

As we are staying near to universal we may go to universal after 6pm to pick up the tickets. Mainly to show our passport as ID and take it back to the room so we dont loose them on the parks or get them wet
I believe it would be free parking after 6pm which is a bonus

We already have our APs - do we still have to pay for first time parking?

if you have real APs (plastic card) and they're active (= you've entered a park at least once on your AP) you'll get free parking if your AP qualifies
(50% off for power passes, free parking for preferred and premier AP, full price for seasonnal)

but, if you only have your voucher, or have collected your APs but never used them, then you'll pay for parking

Great, thanks. We stayed on site last time and got our APs so have already visited the parks but never used the parking
