Last year's Magicbands

Hi there

If we take our magicbands from last year with us, will they be connected to all our reservations?

Will this also mean I can use my Magicband to scan in for the Magic Express? Its such a pain when they try to find your reservation by looking for your name.

You can link them to your tickets in MDE.
Don't know if it works for ME

You can if you link your new tickets to them, however they have started rolling out the new 2.0 version magic bands
Suppose you could get them to swap over to the new band at check in

When you say link them in MDE how do you do this?

We just added our new tickets onto our account yesterday and already have active magic bands on there. Does that mean the ticket automatically now is linked to the existing magic band or not?

If the bands are showing on your MDE account then they should work fine. I think you can have more than one set active.

On the app under my account and then my profiles there is a button to link magic band or card.
Then it gives you a section to add the ticket id to the magic band

It may already be done when you added the tickets to mde but o think it should show here

My annual pass from last year is still active on my MDE account and my magicbands are also still active. Fingers crossed that will work.

I've ordered new magicbands for this year anyway as I want to see what the new 2.0 bands are like.

Yeah, I had to go in and deactivate quite a few of ours!

When we checked into the Grand Floridian last year the Cast Member commented on how many active magicbands we had on our account and said it could start to cause problems if we didn't deactivate some of them.
