Hi can anyone tell me how easy is getting from terminal 5 to terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport? And roughly how long would it take?

Very easy we did it flying back from Calgary last summer as we flew to vancouver we left terminal 3 and flew back to 5. The car was in t3 parking.

Just jump in the train/ transit (Heathrow express) and it is free between all the terminals. Took maybe 10 mins max.

We had 8 year old and 3 big bags and was fine

If you are connecting flights, unless you have to collect checked bags at T5, or have some other reason to go landside, it’s quicker and easier to take the airside buses from T5 to T3.

Assuming you have an incoming flight to T5, just follow the purple Flight Connections signs and take the bus. You will have to reclear security at T3.

Generally it should take 30-45 mins from getting off the aircraft in T5 to getting through security in T3, though on occasion it can be longer. The minimum scheduled connection time between flights if you have to connect T5 to T3 (or vice versa) is 90 mins.
