Daytona Beach Airport

Has anyone flown out of Daytona Beach airport? I am looking at flights and found one out of Daytona to Manchester with a 3 hour connection in Atlanta(don't mind this as will get some food) and was wondering what the airport was like. Another option is to fly back from Jacksonville.

I have a friend who uses Daytona and likes it for quick exits. I've flown out of Jacksonville that was fine too so I'd choose depending on location.

I flew out of Daytona beach at Easter and absolutely loved it. A small. Friendly airport right next to the Speedway. We spent all day at the beach with its wonderful promenade.
I would certainly volunteer to do this again, given that it's somewhere new to most, easy to drive to, interesting and extremely good to use.

Fab little airport, quiet and super easy to return hire car at, basically, park out side, walk into terminal, hand keys at desk, through to departures. Not much in the way of food places but just so laid back. Would 100% fly out of there again!

Thanks, hadn't looked at the area itself as we were thinking of going to St Augustine for a night or two but will have a look at the area now.
