Transferring points

Hi,

I'm wanting to book a two bed villa next Easter but would need a good 100+ more points to book. I'm presuming the only way I can do this is to find someone who can transfer points to me?

Has anyone done this and how does it work?

Our home resort is SSR but would be looking to get AKL- if I find someone with AKL home resort to transfer, would that mean both their and my points can be used 11 months out to book AKL, or only 7 months because my home resort isn't AKL?

You would only be able to use the transferred in AKL points 11 months out for AKL. Sorry

Points always "keep" their HR, so even if you decided to stay at SSR, you ideally need to "transfer" SSR points for 11 month window.

Even if you get AKL points, you cannot use your SSR points until seven months. 🙁

Just to add the points for transfer can't be from banked or borrowed points. This makes it harder to find someone to transfer from especially if you need a lot. You also have to ring M&S to book with transfered points, you can't do it online.
