Free dining easter embago

Just wondered whether anyone had tracked the embago dates in the past and had a guess of the embago dates for next year? My done birthday is in April & I’d like to be there for that but with Easter being so late next tear I don’t think it’ll work, thanks

Here are the past years blackout dates to give you an idea. It did follow a pattern from 2012 - 2017, then they changed it slightly in 2018 which caught a few people out who had booked flights early:

2012:
Offer was valid for arrivals 1st Jan - 26th March and 13th April - 1st December 2012. Easter weekend was 6th - 9th April.

2013:
Offer was valid for arrivals 1st Jan - 19th March and 7th April - 8th December 2013. Easter weekend was 29th March - 1st April.

2014:
Offer was valid for arrivals 1st Jan - 8th April and 27th April - 30th November 2014. Easter weekend was 18th - 21st April.

2015:
Offer was valid for arrivals 1st Jan - 24th March and 12th April - 30th November 2015. Easter weekend was 3rd - 6th April.

2016:
Offer is valid for arrivals 1st Jan - 15th March and 3rd April - 30th November 2016. Easter weekend was is 25th - 28th March.

2017: Offer was valid for arrivals 1st Jan - 29th March and 17th April - 30th November 2017. Easter weekend was 14th - 17th April.

2018: Offer was valid for arrivals 1st Jan - 18th March and 6th April - 30th November 2018. Easter weekend is 30th March - 2nd April.

Just to add, that only your check in date has to be within the offer dates and you'll get free dining for your whole stay. So, for example, this year if you check in on 18th March, you'd get it for the duration of your holiday. If you check in on the 19th March, then you miss out completely.

hi all, I know it’s a bit how long is a piece of string, but if I were to book from 1st April 2019 what do you think the chances of getting free dining are?
i’ve tried to work it back from the above tracker but it’s hurting my head 🤣🤣
thanks in advance

I wouldn't like to say as they changed the pattern last year. We'll know in just over a month though

2017 didn't fit the pattern either. Going off your info, you could book to arrive on Easter Monday 2017 and get free dining. And the free dining ended 18 days before Easter Sunday. That's quite different to all preceding years.

Previously, the free dining period ended around 12 days before Easter Sunday and restarted about 7 days after Easter Sunday. 2018 actually fits closer to this pattern than 2017 did.

As Easter Sunday 2019 is on April 21st, it seems likely that anyone checking-in on April 1st (20 days before Easter Sunday) should get free dining. However, as mentioned above, it's probably best to wait to be sure.
