Connection in Newark
Hi guys
We are connecting in Newark this year from LHR then onto MCO. Think we have about 3hrs there but will have to clear customs in that time so might be a bit of a rush if it’s busy Any tips, warnings or experiences etc please as not been through here before Thanks |

We did this last week. We had less than two hours. Off the plane, through immigration, collect suitcases, through customs, cases then went to transfer flights. Monorail to other terminal.

3 hours will be plenty.
We've done it in 90 minutes which was quite tight. There's usually a lot of custom officials around to point you in the right direction as well. |

We did it in 2015, it does take a while as we had queues for immigration and customs then a walk across the airport and back through security. 3 hours should be plenty of time though

We also are going via Newark and have 1 hour 40. Flying United if you have to change terminal can you change airside or do you have to go though security again.

You have to go through security again, you will also have to change terminal as you'll come in with the international flights and go out at a different one. Its not a big airport I am sure that you will be fine.
We have a connection time of 1hour 45mins 2 years ago, waited nearly an hour in Immigration but still made it. Last year we had over 2 hours and walked straight through and was sat waiting for ages for our connection to MCO

last year we went EDI-EWR-MCO & didnt have to change terminals
just enter the US immigration collect your bags & leave airside, place bags on Tx belt and go back through security, all done in about an hour for us handy hint get all your party to register for united mileage+ you can use the points on your account to buy food/drink at the airport eateries via the ipads , will make sense when you see the setup airside |

As others have said you have plenty of time. We have done this route the last 2 years and both times through in 90mins. Easy airport to navigate
