We are a bit stuck really as DH wanted to go Virgin and direct but they were working out at £700 (fly drive) so stuck to Oct and persuaded him to try TC. I really hope the flight is ok! I'm hoping the 2 days dd will need to take of school won't impact too much on her gcses?

Kat

2 days out of school never bothered us, as our DD is never ill, so has 0 days of school, but for some reason we have convinced ourselves not to go ( she will be in yr 11 when we go in 2018 ( right at the start of the year though )

Lol. Sorry I meant to say she will be in year 11 when we go not 9! She's in year 9 now, I think I got confused because we call it fifth year in our school like the "olden days!" That's why I was a bit worried about the 2 days of but I'm hoping if she has a little revision to do she can do this on the flights? Her mocks will be in January so 2 months later (fingers crossed not to much impact) I'll let school know what's happening and they can help keep her up to date.

Kat 😀

In regards to your daughter, if she'll be in year 9 with good grades and good attendance then I can't see it impacting her, especially if the days are before half term, most schools wind down then.

Our DD will have 3 days off this year but she has 100% attendance, A*. She will be choosing her options in a few days so this will be done before we go and will have all her homework emailed... although teachers have said it's unlikely they'll set any that week anyway. So I wouldn't worry too much, if she was ill she'd catch up I'm sure
Thank you for those words of encouragement TTinker, we've been 3 times before and always booked a package, but when I saw the TC flights at those prices I thought maybe I can?! I think I'll need to write a list of things to do over the next 20 months! (haha not long to wait 😉 )

We are travelling with my sil, bil and nephew. So trying to keep costs down especially knowing that Disney prices are likely to be up next year.

My Dd is a pretty solid student and with it being at the beginning of the academic year it'll be ok?

Kat😃

Yes 23kg hold luggage and 6kg hand luggage. This is economy you get more if you book PE.

Oh no! I can get flights from us from Manchester last week of school in June for £409! That would mean the kids would only miss the last week, I am so tempted to book!
