Anyone flying to Tampa this summer?

Hi all
We are beginning to think about our next years holiday and thinking about trying a beach villa holiday rather than Orlando. We just wondered if anyone could give us an idea of typical flight costs? We got the great BA fly drive prices last Sept to Orlando for this summer paying about £500 each. Was wondering what the likelihood is of getting reasonably priced flights to Tampa?
Thanks!

In the Dec/Jan BA sale they had flights to Tampa direct going out, indirect via Miami on return inc Full Size SUV for about £2200 for 4. This was the last 2 weeks of August going into beginning of September.
Back in Oct/Nov AA had an amazing flash sale for direct Tampa flights for about £300pp again same dates as above. We are considering Tampa for next year as spending first week in a Cape Coral.

Hi,
We are going 30th July to 24th August, family of 4, direct flights to Tampa plus people carrier with BA for £2100. Got when BA had amazing prices in September. My eldest 2 children are also going to join us for 2 weeks after deciding they wanted to come! Managed to bag direct flights to Tampa for them on AA deal for £321 each. We flew to Tampa in 2015 and much prefer it over Orlando International.

Can I ask, how did you all know about the AA flash sale? Did they advertise it?

I didn't see it advertised. Just so happened to be looking for flights for a friend and they popped up on Skyscanner but booking directly with AA. Unfortunately it's a question on looking every day, even multiple times a day. I had already booked mine with AL & BA but wished I had held on a few more weeks as I could have saved an extra £600!

Thanks for replying. For our last visit, I was on at least 2/3 times a day looking for flights before we booked - it became an obsession!
I was only saying to my DH yesterday, that I'm not sure I've the stamina to go through it all again for next years trip! It's exhausting!

I saw it on the wonderful Dibb and booked straight away. If it wasn't for this great site we wouldn't be going back this year!
