Current or previous employer. You put your previous employer. Dont overthink the questions. They are very black and white. There are no low ballers!

The question says "do you have a current or previous employer" so if you're retired then the answer is yes.

But as I've said on a number of times on here don't overthink it. Joan retired in 2006 and last year just put the details of her last employer. The immigration people have absolutely no idea of where Joan worked in 2006.

It does not matter if the place exists or not. Just put in previous employer as it was. Same as parents question. If they are no longer alive it does not matter, still put in who you class as your parents. These things are not checked.

As you so rightly say 99% of Dibbers share our opinions of the purpose of these questions. The 1% who don't share our view never reply to reasonable questions I've asked them

The other good example as you say is parent's names. Joan's dad died in 1966. How on earth would any US authority know whether it was John or Harry or Bill?

No it doesn't matter even if they went bust and as you say the address is gone as well.

I know exactly what you mean ref stress. I did our 2 a few weeks ago. I know they will be fine but you still worry for those few seconds before it gets approved.
