Ok all I've had a reply back from Alamo.

It seems good news so far

I've removed my confirmation number and links to allow me to post this.

Cheers

James

Dear James,

Thank you for choosing Alamo Rent A Car for your car rental needs! My name is John. I will be happy to help you today.

I reviewed your reservation 123xxxxx, and found that it includes the Collision Damage Waiver and Extended Protection coverage options. I am glad you were able to find a great price for your rental!

The full Collision Damage Waiver means that you will not be responsible for damages to the rental vehicle outside of damage to the tires or glass. These are covered under the Roadside Plus coverage for an additional $5.99 per day.

The Extended Protection coverage means that you are covered in the event of an accident up to $1,000,000. Further information regarding the Extended Protection can be found at the below link:
//alamo.custhelp.com/

The rate you booked does also include an extra driver with no additional costs. You can check in online as well, I have listed the web link for this below for your convenience:
.alamo.com/en_US/car-rental/checkin.html

Your reference number for this incident is: 170215-0xxxxx

We look forward to seeing you in Orlando!
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,
John

I booked using the beta link and it all seems good.

I can see my reservation on the US Alamo site (Alamo.com) but not the usual UK one (Alamo.co.uk).

I booked on credit card so they'll protect me if it's dodgy. I'm pretty sure it's legit.

Yep I'm sure it's legit since customer services (I emailed them from the Alamo.co.uk site) and confirmed its ok and you can access the booking on the Alamo.com website.

The only thing you can't do is access the booking through the Alamo.co.uk site.

Still £30+ more than booking Alamo through Auto Europe for me for Premium at end of March.

And you can do OLCI and Skip the Counter as AE give the Alamo booking ref on their voucher.

Yes, Auto Europe better for me for beginning of April too, by £50.

I have jumped in though and cancelled our August booking and rebooked saving £100- would have been £65 but cut a day and will get ME back to airport. That covers the Cirque tickets I booked thanks to another thread- it all balances out in the end!
